I remember him too at Station Masses, before he left for home he always stood up and sang Bless this House. He’ll enjoy being backed by choirs of angels.

Since his retirement, he worked as a Chaplain at Knock Shrine where he provided a valuable service to pilgrims.

I am truly sorry to note the death of Fr Concannon.I have visited Knock evrey year and he always made me very welcome and was a real gentleman.He gave a memorable sermon in the Basilica some years ago,with some fascinating
reminiscences of Knock where he had been brought up.He was an excellent example of an old time Parish Priest
speaking to his people,and he was genuinely touched and very humble to receive a letter of congratulation from me.
He was very encouraging always,and I am sure he was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by his fellow priests and
