Deerpark, Killala, Co. Mayo - peacefully at University Hospital Galway surrounded by his loving family, sister Eileen, brother Jim, nieces and nephews.
Deeply regretted by his wife Rita, sons Carl, Colin and Neil, daughters-in-law Sandra, Laura and Sonia, grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home on Saturday from 5 to 8 o'clock and on Sunday from 5 to 8 o'clock.
Removal on Monday to St. Patrick’s Church, Killala for Mass at 12 o'clock with burial afterwards in Killala Cemetery.

I have great memories of Michael and Rita when they used to come to my sisters house for the annual Christmas celebration, and a great night was had by all.
To Rita ( We will never forget how good and kind you were to my parents when you were teaching in Garracloon NS) and to Carl,Colin,and Neil,I offer you all my deepest and heartfelt sympathies on your sad loss.
A decent,kind man has gone and left us.
I am thinking about you all at this particularly very difficult and sad time in your lives..
