Porturlin, Ballina, Co. Mayo - peacefully at the Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar - surrounded by his loving family in 7th August 2023.
Predeceased by his parents Willie and Maggie Doherty.
He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his heartbroken family, his wife Annie (née Gallagher), sons Micheál and Darren, daughters Mariesa and Donna, daughter in law Marie (Lally), Darren’s partner Michelle, sister’s Mary O’Keefe (New York), Sarah Deane (Birmingham, England), Kathleen Kennelly (Birmingham, England) and Bernadette (Dromore West, Co. Sligo), brothers Liam (Maynooth, Co. Kildare) and Patrick (London), brothers in law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and many friends.

Remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Thursday evening from 5 O’Clock until 7 O’Clock with funeral arriving at the Star of the Sea Church, Cornboy at 9 O’Clock. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday afternoon at 1.30 followed by burial in Cornboy Cemetery.
Live streaming of the Funeral Mass will be available for viewing on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page on Friday afternoon at 1.30 with all other funeral services available for viewing on Friday evening at 8 O’Clock.
