Desmond (Des) Hefferon,

27 Fr. Mulhern Cresent, Belmullet, Co. Mayo and formerly of Muing, Belmullet - peacefully, at his residence surrounded by his loving family on the 20th May, 2023.

Predeceased by his beloved Grandson Ryan Lynch, St. Mary’s Park, Crossmolina.

Des will be sadly missed by his loving wife Ellen (nee Lynskey), sons & daughters Dessie (Corlough West), John Joe (Cambridge), Caroline Dixon (Belmullet),  Peter (Muing), Marian Lynch (Crossmolina), Sheila Padden (Branagh), Thomas (Reading), Helen (Corlough West), Anne (Tallaghan Bawn), Breege Neary (Corlough West), 
Liam (Muing), David (Leeds), Siobhan (Belmullet), Stephanie (Cavan), son’s in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister’s May Gaughan (Birmingham) & Una Phillips (Nottingham), brothers Bertie & Martin (Muing, Belmullet), sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends & neighbours.

May Des’s gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at his residence on Monday evening from 5 o'clock until 8.30pm.
 
Removal from his residence on Tuesday at 12.30 to The Sacred Heart Church, Belmullet for Funeral Mass at 1 o'clock with burial afterwards in Emlybeg cemetery.

Live-streaming of the funeral mass can be viewed on Daly's Undertakers Facebook page on Tuesday at 1 o'clock  with all other funeral services available for viewing on Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock.
