Like many of his generation Paddy emigrated to England as a young man but later returned and set up home in Ballintubber with his wife Bridget.
Paddy worked for many years with Mayo County Council where he was well liked and respected by his colleagues.
In his free time he enjoyed attending dog shows as he was a great lover of animals particularly dogs. Paddy was well known for his singing and was often called on to sing a song or two at social occasions.
Paddy will repose in Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar on Sunday evening 26th February from 5.00pm to 6.30pm.
His funeral will arrive at Ballintubber Abbey on Monday morning for Funeral Mass at 11.00am. Afterwards Paddy will be laid to rest in Killeen Cemetery, Louisburgh arriving at 1.15pm via Cregganbawn.
