Sr. Regina Lydon,
Árd Bhríde, Castlebar, Co. Mayo and formerly of Convents of Mercy, Swinford, Ballaghaderreen and Ballymote; late of Kilmacroy, Ballyfarnon, Boyle, Co. Roscommon (9th January, 2023) - peacefully at Cuan Chaitríona Nursing Home, Castlebar.
Reunited in her heavenly home with her parents James and Eleanor and her brother Laurence.
Deeply regretted by her sister-in-law Bridie, her niece Tara, nephews Raymond and Laurence and their families, relatives, friends and Sisters of Mercy, Western Province.
Rest in Peace Sr. Regina
Sr. Regina will lie in repose at Boland’s Funeral Home, Swinford this Tuesday afternoon from 5pm with removal to the Church of Our Lady Help of Christians, Swinford at 6.30p.m.
Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon.
Sr. Regina will be laid to rest afterwards in the Convent Cemetery, Swinford.

Sr. Regina was inspirational Teacher She has left a lasting Legacy of Kindnesses.Concern.Understanding Respect for everyone especially Students & Parents who the good fortune to know her .
Sr. Regina was always a welcome visitor at St. Aidan's N.S. in Kiltimagh and I have lovely memories of her classroom visits as well as her time spent in the staffroom with us at breaks and lunch. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dilís.
She was always a welcome visitor to our school in Keash.
She had a special gift to get the best out of children and was always willing to give helpful advice to staff and pupils without being intrusive. I had the pleasure of being with her on interview panels. She was polite, astute but always respectful Ní bheidh á leithéid ann arís.

We are grateful that Sr. Regina served on our Board of Management in Swinford NS for many years. Those of us who served with her will remember her fondly for her professionalism , her wisdom and her good nature.
