Mark Melnychuk,

40 Lios na Circe, Saleen, Castlebar and formerly of Andrushivka, Ukraine (aged 24 years) on Wednesday, 23^rd February 2022.

Dearly loved only son of Olga and Gennadiy and loving brother of Ilona.

Mark will be sadly missed by his heartbroken parents, sister, grandmothers, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and many friends.

May he rest in peace.

Mark will repose at Kilcoyne's Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar F23 HT38 on Tuesday, 1st March from 6pm to 10pm.

Removal from the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11.30am arriving at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar for Funeral Mass at 12 noon.

Afterwards Mark will be laid to rest in the New Cemetery, Castlebar.

On behalf of the club, It is with extreme sorrow to hear of the tragic loss of Mark. Mark started playing table tennis in our club at 10.Mark had already been the no 1 player in St pats boys and national school champion under teacher /coach Adrian Kenna. Mark developed very quickly in our club and represented the club at all leves.He also played cadet, junior and u 21 level for Connacht. It was at this stage Mark table tennis career had to be put to one side due to illness. Mark left a lasting impression on all he met, a shy young boy who blushed if praised, he was a gracious young man in winning and in defeat. He always represented the club and province with respect and pride and always had a good word to say about people. We loved to be in his company travelling around the country as he always had a positive attitude and interesting stories from his home country Ukraine.
