Kathleen Carey (better known as Kate) née Lavelle,
Corclough West, Belmullet, Co. Mayo and formerly of Aughadoone, Belmullet and London - peacefully at the Belmullet Community Hospital on 31st October 2021.
Predeceased by her husband Jim, parents Ned and Sarah, brother Thomas and sister Mary Carey.
Beloved mother to Eddie, Seán and Paul.
She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken family – daughters-in-law Marian, Yvonne and Sharon, her ten adored grandchildren, brother Owen, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
May Her Kind and Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.
Funeral arriving at the Church of the Holy Family, Carne, Belmullet on Friday for Funeral Mass at 12 o’clock followed by burial in Tarmoncarra Cemetery.
Live streaming of the Funeral Mass will be available for viewing at 12 noon on Friday on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page with all other funeral services available on Friday evening at 9 o’clock.

In keeping with current Government advice and H.S.E. guidelines regarding public gatherings, Kate’s funeral will be private for family, close friends and neighbours with a maximum of fifty percent of the church’s capacity permitted at Funeral Mass and all funeral services. The Carey family appreciate your understanding at this difficult time.
