Tipperary jersey

  • The Tipperary county board has confirmed that theirĀ senior footballers will revert back to their traditional blue and gold jerseys for the All-Ireland semi-final against Mayo.

Tipp ended an 85-year wait for a Munster title last Sunday when they defeated Cork in the provincial decider.

To mark the centenary of Bloody Sunday, the Premier County wore special commemorative jerseys in white and green - a replica of the jersey colours worn by the Tipperary team who played Dublin in Croke Park in 1920.

But Tipperary GAA have announced that they will return to blue and gold for the clash against Mayo on 6 DecemberĀ and that the wearing of the commemorative jersey was a one-off for a specific commemorative day.
