  • Ashford Castle in Cong has been named the Romantic Hotel of the Year at the second Irish Hospitality Awards held in Dublin yesterday.

    The awards are a celebration of the success of local professionals and establishments. The winners are a true reflection of high standard and customer service as they are chosen by members of the general public.

    The Lodge Hotel at Ashford Castle was named Boutique Hotel of the Year at the ceremony in the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

    Galmont Hotel and Spa in Galway was named Resort of the Year.

    Rocksberry Bed & Breakfast in Castlebar was named B&B of the Year in the West, while Guiry’s Bar in Foxford was named Pub of the year in the West.

    House of Plates in Castlebar was named Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year in the West.

    Munroe’s Live in Galway was named the overall Live Entertainment Venue of the Year.

  • The Lodge at Ashford Castle in Cong is among the winners of the 2020 Georgina Campbell awards.

    The Lodge at Ashford was named Best Pet-Friendly Destination of the Year.

    Two Galway businesses were also among the winners - Tartare Restaurant on Lower Dominick St in the city won the Taste the Island Innovation award, while the Inis Meain Restaurant & Suites on the Aran Islands won the award for Outstanding Guest Experience.

     

     

     

  • Two hotels in the West of Ireland have been named on the list of Ireland's Top 10 Hotels, as voted by the readers of Conde Nast travel magazine.

    The Conde Nast Traveller Awards 2019 have been published, with the Westbury in Dublin listed as Ireland's Top Hotel.

    Ballynahinch Castle in Co Galway is 4th on the list, while The Lodge at Ashford Castle in Mayo is in 6th place in the top ten hotels in Ireland.
