  • Drivers across Connacht are being warned about icy conditions this morning, after temperatures dropped to minus-five degrees overnight.

A status yellow low temperature alert is in place for all of Connacht, along with Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Longford and Clare.

Mayo County Council is advising motorists to take care on roads, as there's still a risk of ice and frost, even on treated roads, while caution is also needed on footpaths.
