Former Roscommon goalkeeper Shane Curran joined Midwest Sport this afternoon to reflect on his career after he appeared on TG4’s Laochra Gael programme during the week.

The iconic GAA documentary documents some of the game's greatest ever characters, with Curran taking centre stage in the latest installment.

The legendary goalkeeper defied medical opinion as togged out for his club after suffering a serious back injury, helping them to All-Ireland success in 2013.

The Castlerea native spoke to Michael D McAndrew on Sunday Sport this afternoon.

The legendary goalkeeper confined his team to Connacht and also picked his 15 without the inclusion of any players from his native county.
