Johnny Keane has been confirmed as the new manager of the Roscommon senior hurling team, replacing Ciaran Comerford who stepped down in June.
The Portumna native, who managed Portumna in 2018, had been part of Comerford's management set-up, and has been coaching the senior hurlers since 2017.
Johnny Keane will be joined by Gary Murphy who will act as the panel’s Strength and Conditioning coach. The rest of the backroom team will be finalised in the coming days.
Roscommon are scheduled to face Wicklow in the quarter-finals of the Christy Ring Cup on the weekend of October 24th/25th.
