Multicultural Day

Ballyhaunis Community School is attended by students from over 30 countries across the world.

After the 2011 Census, Ballyhaunis became known as Ireland's most culturally diverse town, and the local secondary school now has teenagers from some 33 countries enrolled.

A multicultural day took place at the Community School today, where students decorated stands with their traditional costumes, food and other items, and it was an opportunity for the teenagers to learn something about the cultures and traditions of their fellow colleagues.
