  • The Countdown is on to the All-Ireland final.

    Midwest Radio will bring you all the news, views, interviews and lively chat on the Sports Talkshop this Thursday night from 10 until 11.

    Michael D. McAndrew will present the special one-hour programme and will be joined by Joe Brolly, Andy Moran and Mike Finnerty to see where the game will be won and lost on Saturday.

    We’ll also hear from both camps ahead of the clash so join us from 10 on Thursday night with thanks to Connolly's Audi and Volkswagen Ballina.

  • We continued with our best 15 selections today and former Mayo Star Conor Mortimer joined us in the hot-seat to pick his team.

    It is a concept we started on Sunday Sport a number of weeks back where we invite past players and regular contributors on to select their best 15 that they ever played with, against or coached.

  • We have a Saturday Evening Sport Special this weekend with the Mayo Senior and Intermediate Football finals taking centre stage at Elverys MacHale Park.

    Our coverage will begin from just before 5pm when Ballyhaunis and the Neale clash in the Intermediate decider. Michael D McAndrew will be joined by Michael Conroy for this exciting tussle.

    Then at 7pm it’s the senior final between reigning county champions Ballintubber and Ballaghaderreen.

    Nigel Reape alongside Michael D for this one and we’ll have Declan O’Reilly on analysis as well throughout the evening along with Austin Garvin for post-match discussion.
