Limerick Hurling

  • The line-up for the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship final will be completed today.  

    In a repeat of the 2018 final Galway take on Limerick in the second of this year's last four clashes. 

    John Kiely has made two changes to his side that started the Munster final.

    Darragh O'Donovan and Seamus Flanagan come in for Peter Casey and David Reidy.

    The same 15 line out for Galway that did against Tipperary last week.

    Thrown in at Croke Park is at 4-o'clock and the winner will face Waterford in the showpiece in a fortnight.

  • Galway have named their side to face Limerick tomorrow as the Tribesmen bid to win back to back All-Ireland Hurling titles for the first time since 1988.

    The reigning champions will be boosted by the return of Gearoid McInerney who missed last weeks semi-final replay with Clare through an ankle injury.

    He's proved his fitness and starts at centre-back, while John Hanbury has also been passed fit to start at corner back.

  • Limerick are back in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship final.

    They have beaten Galway 27 points to 24 in their last four clash at Croke Park.

    They will face Waterford in the decider in a fortnight.

    Galway's Joe Canning had to be stretchered off in the 61st minute, after scoring 12 points.

  • Waterford are back into an All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship final for the first time since 2017.

    In his first year in charge, Liam Cahill has brought them to the decider after they beat Kilkenny 2-27 to 2-23 at Croke Park this evening.

    Stephen Bennett and Darragh Lyons with the goals for the Déise in the second half after they went into the break 7 points down.

    Galway and Limerick meet in the other semi-final tomorrow afternoon at 4pm in Croke Park.
