  • It's a big evening for Bohola's John Mountney who is part of the Dundalk side in action at the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal later in the Europa League.

    It's an 8pm start tonight for Dundalk's glamour tie against Arsenal in Group B.

    David Luiz will be injured for the Gunners.

  • Dundalk have confirmed that Mayo native John Mountney is leaving the club.

    The Bohola man spent nine seasons at Oriel Park, making nearly 300 appearances and leaving with five Premier Division titles, three FAI Cups, and three League Cups. 

    His last appearance came against Arsenal at the Aviva Stadium in the Europa League.

    There is strong speculation that Mountney might be heading to St. Patrick’s Athletic.

  • Dundalk are celebrating completing the second leg of a potential domestic treble.

    Mayo native John Mountney was a part of the team and played with Mayo League sides Kiltimagh/Knock United and Ballina Town in the past.

    The Lilywhites retained their Airtricity League Premier Division title last night with a 3-2 victory over Shamrock Rovers at Oriel Park.

    It adds to their E-A Sports Cup success and they're also in the semi-finals of the F-A-I Cup.

  • Bohola native John Mountney has signed for St. Patrick's Athletic.

    The versatile midfielder spent nine seasons  at Dundalk — winning five Premier Division titles and a host of cup competitions before departing last month.

    The Mayo native will link up with former Lilywhites team-mates Stephen O’Donnell (head coach) and Robbie Benson in Inchicore. 

    The Saints finished sixth in the league table last season and will be eager to improve on that when the new campaign gets up and running.
