  • The Health Minister says the Covid-19 vaccine rollout programme remains on track following recent developments which he's described as 'good news'.

    The National Immunisation Advisory Committee has recommended the Johnson and Johnson vaccine be offered to people over the age of 50.

    While it's now recommended the AstraZeneca vaccine be offered to people in their 50s as well as their 60s.

    Speaking on his way into Cabinet this morning, Minister Stephen Donnelly says this means 80 per cent of the adult population should be vaccinated by the end of June...

    It's meeting today after the European Medicines Agency listed rare blood clots as a rare side effect.
