  • The Mayo Ladies will face Galway as part of a double header in Croke Park at 2pm on Sunday.

Ladies boss Peter Leahy will be hoping his side can build on their three-point victory over Armagh by getting revenge over the tribeswomen.

Leahy realises that his team face a difficult task against the Connacht champions and the Mayo boss acknowledged the quality of their local rivals.

He praised Galway’s success at underage levels as the basis for their recent revival.

We'll have live coverage of the game on Midwest Radio with thanks to Corrigan's Stores Ballintubber.

  • It is expected that the Dublin Mayo clash will be a sell-out in GAA HQ with tickets on sale from GAA clubs, Ticketmaster, and selected Supervalu and centra stores as of 10 o’clock this morning.

Iarnrod Eireann is refusing as of yet to confirm special train services for the Mayo match this weekend.

A spokesperson for the company told Midwest News that there were no details as of yet for extra services this Saturday but that information will be put up across all their social media in the coming days.

In previous years extra train services have been added to Iarnrod Eireann services for big football clashes in Croke Park involving Mayo sides.

This Saturday fans are hoping that additional services will be added to Iarnrod Eireann's train schedule if the train is to be an option with a throw-in at 5pm.
