  • The highest number of cases of Covid-19 in over a month have been recorded in the Republic of Ireland today.

    36 new cases have been confirmed by health authorities, bringing the total number to date to 25,802.

    The death toll since the virus broke out here in late February stands at 1,753, with no new deaths reported today.


  • Two more people with COVID-19 have died in the Republic of Ireland.

    It brings the death toll to 1,775, while 54 new cases have been recorded today.

    There have been 552 new confirmed cases since Saturday, with 27,547 total infections since the outbreak began.


  • In terms of Covid-19 figures, no further deaths were recorded yesterday while there were 518 new cases of the virus.

    134 in Dublin, 53 in Cork, 49 in Limerick, 34 in Donegal, 32 in Meath and the remaining 216 cases are spread across 20 counties

    In this region, Mayo's total number of cases is 665, with 837 in Galway, 490 in Roscommon, 204 in Sligo and 122 in Leitrim.

    Most Connacht counties are below the national average in terms of the 14-day incidence rate of the virus.

    Mayo has the lowest incidence rate in the country, at 30 cases per 100,000 people.

    Roscommon has the highest incidence rate in the province at 159, while Galway is at 89 per 100,000 population.



  • No further Covid-19 deaths have been reported in the Republic today, while six new cases have been confirmed.

    It brings the total number of cases to 25,766 and the death toll remains at 1,753.

    Acting Chief Medical Officer, Ronan Glynn, expects a higher number will be reported tomorrow.


  • No new Covid-19 deaths have been reported in the Republic of Ireland today, while 11 new cases have been confirmed.

    There have been a total of 1,746 deaths, and 25,638 confirmed cases.

  • 45 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been reported today.

    Latest figures show there have been no new deaths.

    Of today's numbers, 33 cases are located in County Kildare.

    The total number of confirmed cases is now 26,253 and the death toll stands unchanged, at 1,763.

  • 21 more cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the Republic and one further death.

    It brings the death toll to 1,749 and the number of confirmed cases to 25,698.

    The reproductive number of the virus now stands at between 1.4 and 1.8.
