Carlagh Mullarney

  • 12-year-old Ballyhaunis boxer Carlagh Mullarney is on the cusp of a silver medal in the European Championships.

     

    Carlagh has already secured a bronze medal and boxes Sophie Harker on Friday morning for silver.

     

    She is the only female boxer from Ballyhaunis to qualify for European championships.

     

    Carlagh is expected to arrive home onto the square in ballyhaunis on Monday 12th at 2:30pm for a hero's welcome.

     

    Ballyhaunis Boxing Club wishes her the very best of luck in her pursuit of a second place finish on the podium.

     

  • Mayo’s Carlagh Mullarney and Roscommon’s Shakira McCrudden have both won bronze medals in the European boxing championships in Georgia.

    The 12-year-olds from Ballyhaunis boxing club and Riverside Boxing club Ballinlough both won bronze with Mullarney losing out on silver by split decision to Sophie Harker of England.

    Mullarney will return to the square in Ballyhaunis at 2:30 today for her homecoming and McCrudden will arrive in Ballinlough’s Clubhouse at 2 o’clock.
