  • In the SSE Airtricity League, Sligo Rovers will look to bounce back from a disappointing defeat to Derry City when they host Bohemians tonight, in the Showgrounds, at eight o’clock.

    Currently sixth in the top flight, the clash with Bohs has been set us as a season defining match for Liam Buckley’s side.

    There’s a question over the fitness of Ronan Murray and Johnny Dunleavy for the home side, while Niall Morahan returns from international duty and new signing Niall Watson has also received clearance. 

    In the First Division, Galway United travel to Longford town at half past seven.

    Despite being facing relegation, Galway drew against promotion-chasing Bray Wanderers last Friday 2-2.

  • Sligo Rovers will participate in the 2018/19 IRN-BRU Scottish Challenge Cup, along with Bohemians, as representatives of the SSE Airtricity League.

    Both Bray Wanderers and Limerick were excluded from being involved in this year's competition, which will also feature teams from Northern Ireland's Danske Bank Premiership, the JD Welsh Premier League, and England's Vanarama National League. 

    St Patrick's Athletic opted not to take up a place in the competition, so the offer was extended to Sligo Rovers who will join Bohemians in the draw for the next staging of the tournament.
