Blue Light Summit

  • EmergencyTimes.ie and its event partner, Mayo County Council, have announced that the emergency services “Blue Light Summit”, which was due to take place on 27th & 28th of March at the Breaffy House Resort in Castlebar, has been postponed.

Event Organisers say they acknowledge the current and expected operation demands and challenges faced by blue light services in dealing with the Coronavirus outbreak.

Event Co-Ordinator volunteer, Declan Keogh says while the decision to postpone the summit is regrettable, it is essential in order to allow the emergency services carry out their duties.

The Blue Light Summit is being rescheduled to take place on September 4th & 5th instead.

  • The first ever, national seminar and exhibition for those involved in emergency services will take place in 2020, at Breaffy House Hotel in Castlebar.

Called the Bluel Light Summit, participants will include professionals and volunteers involved in emergency services, covering medical, search and rescue, defence, voluntary emergency services, and community first responders. It will take place on the 27th and 28th March next, and will be organised by Emergency Times and supported by Mayo County Council.

The event will provide training and education for the emergency services and will showcase the latest in equipment.

Declan Keogh of emergencytimes.ie  gave more details on the event to Midwest News at the launch of the seminar in Breaffy House Hotel.
