•  IT company Arkphire, which has a regional office in Castlebar, has announced the acquision of Trilogy Technologies, one of Ireland's leading independent ICT managed services providers.

    Arkphire said that the deal marks the “first major move of significant scale towards industry consolidation in the ICT managed services sector”, as businesses seek outsourced support to meet increasingly complex and demanding IT infrastructure and business transformation challenges.

    Following the acquisition, the newly enlarged group will have a combined workforce of 220 and €150m in annual revenue.

    CEO of Arkphire, Ballina native Paschal Naylor,  says the two companies - Arkphire and Trilogy Technologies - will initially remain as distinct businesses and the acquisition will have no impact on the day-to-day business operations of the respective companies.



  • IT solutions and networking company, Dublin based, Arkphire, has today announced its acquisition of CloudStrong, a specialist cloud solution provider that is located in Castlebar.  The new combined business is committed to building out a growth cloud services business from its centre of excellence in the county town. 

    For commercial reasons, Arkphire is not disclosing financial details related to this latest acquisition.

    Over the past four years, Arkphire has grown turnover from €20m to over €90m and the company is on track to become a €100 million business this year, providing a full range of technology solutions from the desktop to the data centre. 

    Founded in 2011 by Oliver Surdival, CloudStrong currently employs 12 people, providing cloud consultancy services and solutions to the small and medium sized enterprise market.  CloudStrong received start-up equity funding from Enterprise Ireland and has been a client in Enterprise Ireland’s High Potential Start-up unit at GMIT, Castlebar campus, which is dedicated to Irish start-ups with the potential to scale international markets.

    Founder and CEO of CloudStrong, Oliver Surdival says he is extremely proud of the CloudStrong team and they are very excited to now become part of the Arkphire Group.


    IT solutions company Arkphire has announced plans to create 15 new jobs in Mayo.

    The news follows Arkphire's acquisition last year of CloudStrong - a specialist cloud solution provider based in Castlebar.

    Having consolidated the CloudStrong business into a new Cloud Services division within the enlarged Arkphire Group, this latest expansion represents an investment of more than €1.7 million over two years, and will support the growing demand for cloud technology in Ireland.

    Cloud computing enables businesses to securely access data from any location worldwide and from any device with an internet connection.

    Today's jobs announcement by Arkphire will bring the workforce in Castlebar to 27, to over 115 employees for the company in total.

    Arkphire is now hiring for a variety of roles including digital transformation consultants, cloud engineers, data analysts, support desk engineers and marketing.
