Annie Kilgallon (Maloney) and family, Ballina

Our deepest sympathy to Sr. Margaret’s nieces and nephews, her sisters in the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart, her extended family, neighbours and many friends both in Ireland and Australia.
I have many happy memories of visiting Sr. Margaret and her family in Tiernenny, Kilasser since I was a child. They were such a lovely family, and as their cousins, we always received a great welcome. I remember when Margaret left Kilasser to go to Australia to join her order there. We didn’t know if she would return to Ireland again. But the joy when we met up again on her first trip home to Kilasser in December 1973!
It was a privilege to visit Margaret in later years when she had come back to live again in her home place in Tiernenny. She greatly enjoyed offering support to the community. We had some great chats, fun and walks. Margaret always liked a joke. Those memories of visiting Tiernenny over the years will stay with me forever.
Rest in peace, Margaret. You will always have a special place in my heart.
