I am shocked and saddened to hear the sad news of Michael’s passing. I am a past student of Michael and had the pleasure of knowing him. He was so dedicated to his work but also to his family, his sister Kathleen and nieces and nephews who he spoke about all the time. I enjoyed listening to where they were and what they were doing. He had such a great relationship with them all. He also spoke about his brother in-law from Doonbeg, a place close to my heart as my dad was reared near there. He was so kind and generous to my kids when he met them and always asked for them. He always kept touch with us, his last text wising us a happy Easter. Thinking of all Michael’s family and friends at this very sad and difficult time. May his gentle soul rest in heavenly peace.
