As the centenary approaches of the sinking of the Titanic on her maiden voyage in April 1912, a plaque will be erected at Castlebar railway station to remember the Addergoole fourteen – 11 of whom died when the ship went down east of Castlebar Town Councillors recently set aside a sum of €10,000 euro for heritage projects in the county town, and the plaque at the railway station will be funded from the coffers. |
