Ballinrobe Junction on the Neale Road Receives Funding Following Local Petition
Friday, 03 February 2012 09:17

30,000 Euro has been allocated to introduce traffic calming measures on the Neale Road in Ballinrobe at the Corrib Oil Junction. The monies were announced in the 15.6 million euro in funding announced for local and regional roads last week.

According to local Fianna Fail councillor Damien Ryan the news is welcome as a petition with more than 200 signatures had been collected locally last year to have something done to slow traffic on the approach to Ballinrobe from the Neale side.

Councillor Ryan told Midwest News today that work on the development will begin later this year.
