Galway senior footballers have suffered a big setback, after forward Sean Armstrong was ruled out for the remainder of the National Football League campaign.
Galway got their bid for promotion back on track last Sunday with a 1-12 to 1-11 win over Meath, but will not now be able to call on the experienced Sean Armstrong, who suffered a leg injury in training which will keep him out of action for 4 to 6 weeks.
Armstrong had only returned to action for the first time this year as a sub against Westmeath last Sunday week, after an ongoing hamstring injury.
