Ballinrobe native Gary Sweeney became the third Mayo boxer to book his place in the National Intermediate Boxing Finals following his win over Ciaran Griffin last night in Dublin.

Gary who boxes out of the Mike Flaherty club will now face Denis O'Donnell in the final next Friday.

Also into the finals are Michelle Chambers of Castlebar who will face Rosemary Doherty next Friday and Eamon Walsh of St. Anne's who is up against JP Delaney next Friday.
