All-Ireland champions Galway dominate 2017 Hurling All-Stars

All-Ireland hurling champions Galway have 7 places on the 2017 PwC All-Star hurling team for 2017.
The GAA / GPA All-Stars were selected at Croke Park, where the Tribesmen were awarded 7 places on this year’s selection – with 5 places for Waterford, 2 for Cork and 1 for Tipperary.
In defence are Galway’s Padraic Mannion, Daithí Burke and Gearóid McInernry.
David Burke is selected in midfield, for the second consecutive season in the All-Stars.
In forwards are Galway’s Joe Canning picking up his 4th All-Star, along with Conor Whelan and Conor Cooney who are first-time All-Stars.
The newly-crowned All-Stars will receive their awards at a banquet in the Convention Centre in Dublin this Friday evening, which will be broadcast live on RTE 1 television.
The announcement of the 2017 PwC All-Star Football team will be made live on Friday night, as will the announcement of the Footballer & Hurler of the Year, and the Young Footballer and Hurler of the Year.
