The death has taken place of Mayo Legend Joe Corcoran.

The Ardnaree man was known to all GAA followers as “Jinkin Joe”.

He was Mayo’s top scorer until 2012 and one of the most stylish forwards ever to grace the field.

Joe had a wonderful Mayo career scoring 20 goals and 358 points.
