Mayo County Board delegates last night voted in favour of MacHale Park being used for rugby, if Ireland’s 2023 World Cup bid is successful.
As part of the bid 12 venues around the country have been identified as places that could possibly be used for games during the competition.
If Ireland’s bid is successful and MacHale Park is chosen as one of the venues for the World Cup, it can now be used for that purpose following last night’s vote.
