Marnitz Boshoff has been ruled out for at least three months as he requires surgery to the shoulder he injured in the Pro 12 win over Treviso.

It leaves Lam short on options off the kicking tee, with Craig Ronaldson also injured and Jack Carty wayward in Sunday's loss to Wasps.
