Sean Armstrong is set to reverse his decision to retire from inter-county football and make a return to the Galway squad.
The Irish Independent reports that Armstrong has accepted an invitation from Galway manager Kevin Walsh to rejoin the squad he left just two years ago.
The 31-year old played a major role this season with his club Salthill-Knocknacarra, who lost the county final to Corofin.
Sean Armstrong had been part of successive Galway squads since 2005 until his departure at the end of 2014.
Kevin Walsh has been busy replenishing the Galway squad with Fiontán ó Curraoin also on the way back.
