Ireland Rugby Head Coach Joe Schmidt has launched the 2017 National Saddle Up For Epilepsy.
The launch took place yesterday in Dublin, while the National Saddle Up For Epilepsy cycle takes place on February 25th 2017 in Breaffy Sports Arena, Castlebar.
Now in its third year, the growing event aims to help raise funds for Epilepsy Ireland’s support services and increase public awareness of the condition.
The cycle is organised by Castlebar native Brenda Quigg who herself suffers from epilepsy.
Brenda organised the cycle in 2015, doubling the numbers last year to over 450, and is hoping to see an increase in the number of participants again in 2017.
Epilepsy Ireland is the national organisation supporting and representing people with epilepsy, their families and carers.
