Sean Carey has stepped down from his role as Mayo GAA Senior Selector.

The Kiltane native will be replaced in this role by the current Mayo Goalkeeping coach Peter Burke.

This news has been confirmed by the Mayo County Board to Midwest Sport today.

Kiltimagh Club man Burke who has been involved in the Mayo Senior backroom team for the past number of seasons will continue in his capacity as Mayo’s goalkeeping next year as well as working alongside Tony McEntee and Donie Buckley in a selector and coaching role.
