Mayo GAA in association with Mayo County Council to launch new coaching initiative on Friday

Mayo GAA in association with Mayo County Council will launch a new coaching initiative on Friday night next (November 4th) at 8pm in the Macalla Hall, Lough Lannagh Holiday Village, Old Westport Road, Castlebar.

The initiative includes investment in coaching resources supported by Mayo County Council and the GAA.

This investment will support clubs and schools engaged in promoting and developing gaelic games. Further development of underage county development squads will also be a feature along with ongoing formal education of volunteer coaches.

For the future, four full time coaches, of which one will be located in each division with support the county Games Manager in the area of football, and a full time hurling coach will work with our ten hurling clubs in the county.

A special element of the work will include a focus on socially excluded groups.
