There’s an exciting afternoon of football ahead here in Mayo, with the county senior football championship semi-finals down for decision at Elverys McHale Park in Castlebar.
At 2pm, Breaffy take on Knockmore- that’s followed at 3.30 by the meeting of Ballintubber and reigning county champions Castlebar Mitchels.

Meanwhile the Mayo Intermediate championship semi-finals were played yesterday.
Kiltimagh defeated Burrishoole by one point in Ballina – that finished 1-12 to 2-8.
Shrule/Glencorrib and Westport played out a draw in Ballinrobe – that finished 1-8 apiece.
In hurling, neighbours Ballyhaunis and Tooreen meet this afternoon in the Mayo Senior Hurling Championship final – that throws-in at 3 pm in Tooreen.
The Connacht Ladies senior football final takes place in Charlestown at 12.30 today -Carnacon taking on Kiltubrid.
The Connacht Junior final between Kilmoremoy of Mayo and St James of Galway has just got underway in Ballindine, while at 3pm in the Intermediate final, Annaghdown of Galway meetn Padraig Pearses of Roscommon in Clonberne.
