Mayo GAA granted an extra week to complete senior football championship

The Connacht Council has granted Mayo an extra week to complete the senior football championship.
The race for the Moclair Cup has been delayed by Mayo’s involvement in the drawn and replayed All-Ireland finals, and there were fears that the county would not be represented in the Connacht Club senior football championship.
But a spokesman for Mayo GAA has confirmed to Midwest Radio this evening that the Mayo champions’ provincial quarter-final against Tourlestrane has been pushed back by 6 days to Saturday 5th November.
This decision leaves Mayo with three weekends to run off the SFC quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.
The quarter finals will be played over next Saturday and Sunday.
