Diarmuid O’Connor heads an extensive Mayo injury list ahead of their Connacht Championship match against London in Ruislip on Sunday.
The reigning young Footballer of the Year and the driving force behind Mayo’s recent All-Ireland Under 21 success, looks set to miss the trip to the UK capital because of a hamstring injury.
Chris Barrett and Brian Reape have also both been ruled out.
Former captain Andy Moran is struggling with a knee injury and both Barry Moran and Ger Cafferkey are also regarded as doubtful for Sunday’s game due to injuries.
Seamus O’Shea, Alan Dillon and Tom Parsons will all be assessed in the coming days to see if they can be declared match fit.
The match has been officially declared a sell-out by London GAA.
Meanwhile, Enda Smith could make his return for Roscommon in their Connacht Semi-Final clash with Sligo next month but midfielder Ian Kilbride could well miss the rest of the season.
Smith and Kilbride are both suffering from pelvic injuries and have not played since the defeat in the league to Mayo in March.
Enda Smith is now ready to return to training, according to joint-manager Fergal O’Donnell, who admitted that Ian Kilbride could be out for the rest of the season.
