The annual Operation Transformation Nationwide walks take place this weekend, at more than 50 locations around the country.

Walks will take place at six Mayo locations, with 5k walks planned for Ballina, Ballyhaunis and Belmullet on Saturday morning at 10am, while 3km and 5km walks will take place in Castlebar – starting from the Tennis Club at 10am.

Ballina Soccer Club, the Friary Field in Ballyhaunis and Belmullet Civic Centre are the starting points for the other walks, which all get underway at 10am Saturday morning.

A 5km walk will start from Westport Leisure Park at the earlier time of 9.30am, while in Claremorris, walkers can choose from a 3km or 5km walk starting at McMahon Park at Clare Lake at 1 pm Saturday afternoon.
