Galway look like naming a new senior hurling manager tonight

Galway look like naming a new senior hurling manager tonight.

According to Galway Bay FM, Michael Donoghue is to be ratified to succeed Anthony Cunningham tonight.

Donoghue led his club Clarinbridge to a maiden All Ireland club title in 2011, and had been involved in Eamon O'Shea's backroom team with Tipperary.

Turloughmore's Frannie Ford is thought to be among Donoghue's support staff.
