Catherina McKiernan wins Hollymount International Women's 6k

The 50th anniversary International Road Races took place in Hollymount yesterday, and the imclement weather conditions didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of participants in the 6k and 10k races.
The women’s 6k race was won by one of Ireland’s greatest athletes Catherina McKiernan, in a time of 21.41, with Regina Casey coming in second and Liz Egan from Liverpool in third place.
The men’s 10k was won by Matt Bidwell of Galway City Harriers in a time of 32.25, with Jason Broderick of Craughwell AC second, and Louis Rogers of Loftus & Whitby AC in third.
