GAA Director General says clubs need to take more responsibility for the fixtures schedule

GAA Director General Pauric Duffy says clubs need to take more responsibility for the fixtures schedule.

Duffy has recently unveiled his proposal for a new calendar structure and says the clubs can lead the change.

There's changes proposed to the inter-county championship, but the recent scheduling of club matches in Waterford and Laois amongst others have raised fresh concerns about the plight of club players.

Duffy says the clubs have the power to make themselves heard.
