The Mayo County Board has confirmed this evening that they have received just one nomination for the Mayo Senior Football Manager's job following the passing of the deadline.

A statement on the Mayo GAA website this evening said: 

The deadline for receipt of nominations for the position of Mayo Senior Football Team Manager has now passed. At this stage there is just the nomination of one candidate for the position. Both the Crossmolina Deel Rovers and Ballinrobe G.A.A. Clubs have submitted a nomination,along with a letter indicating acceptance of nomination, for Stephen Rochford to the role. The nominated candidate will meet with bord officials over the coming weeks where formal discussions will take place and also confirmation of backroom team members.
