The Republic of Ireland Men’s Darts team, managed by Mayo’s Ollie Monaghan and captained by Roscommon’s David Concannon, have lost to England in the World Cup Final 9-5 today.
Ireland gave a gusty display in the final in Turkey today but England proved too strong for them on the day.
Meanwhile the Ladies team bowed out at the semi-final stage yesterday, losing 9-5 to England, despite a spirited performance. They have secured silver medals. Castlebar’s Ron Skeffington and Catherine Fleming are members of that team.
