Galway hurling is reportedly in crisis after it was suggested players have revolted against the decision to reappoint Anthony Cunningham as manager for another year.
It was announced this week that Cunningham would be continuing in the role but reports have emerged that some of the players have voiced their concerns about this to members of the Galway County Board.
The squad are reported to have met last weekend and the players are said to be 100% united in their stance to seek a change in manager and player representatives are said to have made this known to Cunningham.
But at a county board meeting two days later the St Thomas' clubman was given the thumbs up and ratified for another year in the role. This has annoyed the squad who are now determined to make their feelings known.
