Around 25-30 Mayo senior footballers turned up at Elverys MacHale Park tonight for a meeting with County Board Executive members. It was not clear how many players would attend the meeting with officers tonight but reports say up to 30 players attended the meeting. 

The meeting lasted for about 10 minutes before the players left again. 

When contacted by Midwest Sport tonight a spokesperson for Mayo County Board said no comment would be made tonight on the meeting. 

It emerged earlier this week that a majority of Mayo players had supported a vote of no confidence in the senior management team of Pat Holmes and Noel Connelly.
