Executives of the Mayo County Board are to meet with representatives of the Mayo Senior Footballers later tonight to discuss the fall-out from the recent vote of no-confidence in the senior management by the majority of the squad.

An emergency meeting of the Mayo County Board Executives was held last night to discuss the matter and the officers will meet with player representatives later tonight.

PRO of the Mayo County Board Aiden McLoughlin told Midwest Sport yesterday evening that the meetings will be held to establish where to next for all the parties involved and in an effort to resolve any ongoing issues the players feel are present.

He also said an update on the situation would not happen until after tonight’s meeting.
